The saying 'simplicity is the ultimate sophistication' seems true when you set your eyes on the Callimaco Floor Lamp. Abstract elements, minimalist design and a blend of painted hues lend a distinguished character to this iconic floor lamp. This subtle creation was conceptualized by the designer and architect Ettore Sottsass in 1982 for the Italian lamp label Artemide. A reincarnation of the classic Ettore Sottsass halogen torchiere, this lamp takes inspiration from geometric shapes. It features a cylindrical polished grey steel base and a painted red steel diffuser connected to a linear aluminum tube in polished yellow finish. The stem comes integrated with a polished chrome metal handle for easy positioning, while an industrial-grade dimmer switch helps in adjusting the intensity of light. This multicolor lighting fixture comes with both LED and halogen light sources and is great for installation where indirect illumination is required.
